The aim of this study is to explore the effect of propafenone - induced block of fast sodium current (INa) and 4-aminopyridine - induced block of transient potassium current (IKto) on action voltage configuration in mammalian cardiac cells. The presented results are based on the computer simulation of above currents and action voltages under conditions of presence and absence of the blockers. This approach contributes to better understanding of the mechanisms underling suppression of cardiac arrhythmias.
