Long-term in situ monitoring of slow tectonic movements along with seismic effects in an epicentral area of SW Bulgaria is described and results after 17 years interpreted. Three points on structural fractures instrumented with a 3-D crack gauge TM71 provided data showing compressive forces across the Strouma Fault, Pirin Block uplifting and pushing against Simitli Graben.
