The objectives of this article were to: (1) work out the statistical analysis of the occurrence and duration of the individual types of the occult precipitation (the so-called climatological normals are presented); (2) estimate the amount of fog and cloud water deposition; (3)characterize the chemical composition of fog and cloud water on the basis of the long-term monitoring (1989-1997) in the Šumava Mts.; (4) determine if site-to-site differences exist.
