This paper deals with an alternative computation method of induction heating of ferromagnetic materials involving selected number of higher harmonic terms of current. The method is described on an illustrative example of heating a thin ferromagnetic tube. The process of the heating is almost always slower in comparison with the period of electrical current. So, the time stepping method seems to be inefficient and for higher frequencies the calculations need a lot of time.
