The continual induction hardening of steel workpieces belongs to modern and environmentally friendly industrial technologies. The body is heated by an inductor moving at a low velocity along it and the heated part is then immediately cooled by spraying quenchant. While mathematical and computer models of the simultaneous induction hardening exist and corresponding algorithms were implemented into commercial SW, modeling of the above process is an uneasy business.
