The synthesis and pharmacological investigation of six analogues of oxytocin, which contain the conformation constraining amino acid L-ŕ-.I.t./I.-butylglycine [Gly(Bu.I.t./I.) in positions 8 or 9 and the ŕ-helix inducing amino acids 2-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) or pipecolic acid (Pip) in position 7 is described.
