We report the synthesis of six substituted with D-Cys 6 analogues of oxytocin. The results indicate that the presence of Gly(Bu) amino acid in position 8 or 9 and D-Cys in position 6 provide: weak antagonists. Additional Mpa 1 and D-Tyr(OEt) 2 insertion lead to even more potent oxytocin antagonists.
