Cyclization of the N-terminal tetra- and pentapeptide analogues of the oostatic factor H-Tyr-Asp-Pro-Ala-Pro6-OH decreases the oostatic effect on the flesh fly .I.Neobellieria bullata./I. by one order of magnitude. NMR study revealed that the space structure of the cyclic peptides is too restricted to adopt a biological conformation necessary for receptor binding.
