Six [Pen6]oxytocin analogs were synthesized by substituting penicillamine for cysteine in oxytocin, [Mpa1]oxytocin, [dPen1]oxytocin, [5-.I.t./I.-BuPro7]oxytocin, [Mpa1, 5-.I.t./I.-BuPro7]oxytocin and [dPen1, 5-.I.t./I.BuPro7]oxytocin.
