Synthetic analogues of oostatic tetra and penta-peptides containing the .psi.[CH₂O] isosteric unit largely inhibited the development of egg in the flesh fly .I.Neobellieria bullata./I.. The less pronounced effect was caused by analogues containing .psi.[CH₂S] isoster. No oostatic effect was found after application of the cyclic tetra and pentapeptide analogues.
