Strong electronic coupling over a distance of 1,3 nm is observed for the Ru2 (IV, III) state of the complex 1n (n=+). The fully delocalized system 1+ is distinguished by an extremely intense intervalence charge-transfer (IVCT) band and a single intense vibrational band.
