We describe novel structural domains in in vitro reconstituted Xenopus sperm nuclei, which we term RPA bodies, by immunoelectron microscopy we show that RPA is preferentially localized at the periphery of the bodies where DNA synthesis also occurs in HSS + LSS nuclei.
