A reconstruction has been made of the post World War II changes in land cover/land use within the Zhůří - Huťská hora Mt. enclave, an area of secondary grassland on the Kvilda Plains in central Bohemian Forest, with respect to the history of its management. The evaluation of the last fifty years development is based on a quantification of changes identified by visual interpretation of a time series of aerial photographs, and by field surveys.
