The text outlines construction activities in the time of Emperor Rudolf II, in particular his construction projects in the so-called southern wing (the residential part) and the so-called central and northern wings (collections). The northern part of the Castle in particular was considerably expanded and changed at that time. Like in other European courts, the collection halls were placed above luxury stables which even had two floors at the Prague Castle.
