The study analyses Komenský's relationship to emblematics, which can be recognized not only in his writings but also, and in particular, in the way he conceived his own "impresa". It depicts a landscape where rain is followed by sunshine, and a star-lit night by a bright day, and contains the motto "Omnia sponte fluant, absit violentia rebus".
