Der Beitrag bringt eine Rekapitulation der bekannten Quellen zur Lokation und zum Betrieb der Hofwerkstätte, wie auch zur Frage des Unterkunfts der bekanntesten Vertreter des Kunstgewerbes am rudolfinischen Hof. Zugleich wurde der Kontakt der Hofkünstler mit dem Adel und mit der Stadt angedeutet.

The study summarises our standing knowledge of the location and operation of courtly artistic craftsmen's workshops at the Prague Castle in the Rudolphine period and on the accommodation of the most famous goldsmiths, gemstone cutters, etc. and, at the same time, brings up the issue of their contacts with the nobility and their integration in the town.
