The article deals with the voting behavior social groups of voters in the 1998 genderal election that was called early. On the basis of the results of 1996 and 1998 exit polls it firstly compares the electorates of the left and of the right.Secondly it compares the electorate of particular right-wing and centre parties(ODS, US, KDU-ČSL) and then compares the electorates of particular left-wingparties (ČSSD and KSČM). Finallz it focuses on the changes that appeared withregard to the results of 1996 general election.
