Malakofauna PR Bystřice je reprezentována 22 druhy měkkýšů, mezi nimiž plži Discus ruderatus, Vertigo substriata a Vitrea subrimata indikují podmínky obdobné montánním polohám. Přiřazení tohoto území do oblasti maloplošného oreofytika (Čerchovský les) v rámci Českého lesa jako představitele mezofytika lze tak podpořit i na základě zjištěné malakofauny.

Paper presents the results based on new systematic field research on molluscs in the year 2001. Of prime importance are the occurrences of woodland species Discus ruderatus and Vitrea subrimata, as well as the Boreo-alpine Striated Whorl Snail Vertigo substriata. These species indicates conditions of mountain and submontane elevations.
