Lipid metabolism disordes were proposed to mediate numerous cellmembrane alterations in hypertension. Elevated plasma triglycerideswere found to be associated with changes in membrane structure andfunction related to altered microviscosity in particular membranedomains. Our interventional study demonstrated a major role ofcirculating triglycerides in the control of the microviscosity ofmembrane lipid core.
