The electrostatic self-energy of (ń2ă)-twist disclinations in ferroelectric liquid crystals is proposed. An effective disclination charge per unit length of disclination will be discussed in the case of two (ń2ă)-twist disclination configurations typical for ferroelectric liquid crystals.
