Isw1p of Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been identified as one of the two yeast homologues of the Drosophila melanogaster ISWI proteins. We were interested in identifying the appropriate importin (nuclear transportin) enabling the Isw1p transport from the cytoplasm to the nucleus.We found that the localization of the Isw1p-GFP in the mtr10-1 strain differed from that observed in all the other analyzed importin mutants. Our results indicate that Mtr10p could be a good candidate for Isw1p importin.

Zjistili jsme, že Isw1-GFP fůze je v buňkách importinového mutantu mtr10-1 S.cerevisiae lokalizována jiným způsobem než v buňkách divokého typu.
