Preliminary taxonomic treatment of the Hieracium nigrescens group in the Sudeten Mts. and the Western Carpathians is presented, based on morphological and isozyme analysis, and karyological studies. Seven taxa, i.e. Hieracium apiculatum Tausch, H. chrysostyloides (Zahn) Chrtek jun., H. decipiens Tausch, H. koprovanum (Rech. fil. et Zahn) Chrtek jun. et Mráz, H. mlynicae (Hruby et Zahn) Chrtek jun., H. nigrescens Willd. and H. vapenicanum (Lengyel et Zahn) Chrtek jun. are recognized, all being endemic to either the Sudeten Mts or the Western Carpathians.

V článku je na základě morfologické analýzy, analýzy isoenzymů a karyologického studia navržen taxonomický koncept okruhu Hieracium nigrescens v sudetských pohořích a v Západních Karpatech. Celkově je rozlišeno 7 taxonů na druhové úrovni - Hieracium apiculatum Tausch, H. chrysostyloides (Zahn) Chrtek jun., H. decipiens Tausch, H. koprovanum (Rech. fil. et Zahn) Chrtek jun. et Mráz, H. mlynicae (Hruby et Zahn) Chrtek jun., H. nigrescens Willd. and H. vapenicanum (Lengyel et Zahn) Chrtek jun.; každý z nich je přitom svým rozšířením omezen buď na sudetská pohoří nebo na Západní Karpaty.
