V práci je diskutován vývoj lužní krajiny a její vegetace na jižní Moravě od posledního glaciálu do současnosti. Hlavní pozornost je věnována současné flóře a vegetaci v oblasti u soutoku Moravy a Dyje. Autoři popisují diverzitu různých typů lužního lesa, lužních luk, mokřadů a dalších biotopů. Charakteristické druhy a typy vegetace jsou dokumentovány na fotografiích.

The development of the floodplain landscape and its vegetation in South Moravia from last glacial until present is discussed. A special attention is paid to the present state of flora and vegetation in the area near confluence of Morava and Dyje rivers. The diversity of various types of floodplain forests, meadows, wetlands and other habitats is described. Characteristic vegetation types and species are documented by photographs.
