Kniha je věnována významnému mezníku rekatolizace Čech, patentu, který nařizoval nekatolické šlechtě přestoupit ke katolictví. Autor sleduje vznik patentu, jeho širší souvislosti a dopad na společnost v Čechách, současně podrobně líčí průběh rekatolizace ve 20. letech 17. století.

The book is dedicated to an important milestone of the re-catholisation of Bohemia, to a patent, which prescribed to the non-catholic nobility to be converted to the Catholicism. The author follows origin of the patent, its wider kontext, and its impact on the Bohemian society. Simultaneously is the process of the re-catholisation in the 1620’s reported in detail.
