Článek se zabývá otázkou, co zapříčinilo lokační boom v našich zemích, kdy od poloviny 13. století, v éře posledních Přemyslovců dochází k hospodářskému, kulturnímu, politickému a mocenskému vzestupu Českého státu. To vedlo k dalekosáhlým změnám v řadě oblastí života tehdejší společnosti. V této době byly položeny základy sídelní struktury a poprvé se na našem území objevuje plánovité zakládání městské sítě. Jaká byla role tehdejších zeměměřičů (lokátorů) při tvorbě půdorysů nových měst?

This article deals with the question of what caused the locational boom in our countries, where from the middle of the 13th century, in the era of the last Přemyslovci dynasty, occurs an economic, cultural, political and power rise of the Czech state.
