Anotace	The aim of this paper is to discriminate four levels at which theory change occurs: the level of aims of scientific research, the level of instrumental practice, by means of which those aims are achieved, the level of conceptual frameworks used to interpret the outcomes of the instrumental practice, and finally the level of facts stabilized on the basis of the particular conceptual framework. These levels interact in many different ways, but the changes occurring on these levels vary in their character. Therefore I propose to discriminate four kinds of theory change, for each kind I will discuss few examples from the history of physics, offer their epistemological analysis, and suggest for each of them a particular pattern of theory change.
