"extrémních hodnot" při formulaci mezních stavů a podmínek únosnosti a použitelnosti, o rozdílu mezi zatížením a odezvou konstrukce a o zpřesnění formulace podmínek a kritérií únosnosti a použitelnosti se zřetelem ke zvláštním charakteristikám kovových konstrukcí. Překlad anotace The voluminous Proceedings, the General Reports and the discussion of the conference "Limit States of Metallic Building Structures" held in Karlovy Vary in April 1981 as well as the follow-up studies of the Authors have been the source of a number of suggestions and comments conceming the development of the limit states design method in the field of metallic building structures. The Authors give a summary of the problem analysis with special regard to the main principles of the method, to the terminology in use, to the definitions and to the complex concept of the limit state of load-carrying capacity and serviceability. Emphasis is laid on the application of the method called "method of extreme values", to the formulation of the limit states and the corresponding conditions of load-carrying capacity and serviceability, on the difference between the loading and the response of the structure to the load from the aspect of quantities constituting these conditions and on the refinement of formulation of each of these conditions and the criteria of load-carrying capacity and serviceability with regard to specific characteristics of metallic structures.
